A1 - Good Typography
- I chose this piece to show an example of good typography, because of the form the font of the ice cream and the cone are making- molding to shape itself into an ice cream cone. The picture does not need any outline, since the words speak for itself.
- The visual communication shown, are words that describe ice cream by it's taste in various flavors. And on the cone, the words describing it are by its texture and sound.
- The words that make up the chocolate ice cream at top are all around the same size font, but for the cone, the font sizing difference is more noticeable. "Crispy" and "cone" start at a huge font and then get smaller and shapens to look like a real ice cream cone.
- The message is, ice cream is yummy, sweet, and fun. The sender of this example of typography would be the ice cream shop or the people who are selling the ice cream. And their audience is for consumers who buy ice cream.
- The typography contributes by using different shades of the same color to show where lines or curves would normally fit into the image. It follows normal typography rules and succeeds in "visual communication".
